2020 VIRTUAL CAMP DATES: JULY 13 - 31, 2020

Join us this July for three weeks of Virtual Camp!

That’s right, we are offering one session that will last for three weeks!

We will meet using zoom on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays of each week starting July 13 and ending July 31.

FOR CAMPERS AGES:

8 years old (or entering 3rd grade in Fall 2020)

until 18 years old (or will be graduating High School in Spring 2020).

WHAT WILL VIRTUAL CAMP BE LIKE?

Campers will be assigned to a cabin with counselors, and we will offer some of your favorite camp activities like daily services, arts & crafts, faith & culture, cabin discussions & devotionals, Orthodox life, a virtual camp dance, and more!

Our program will include two hours in the morning from 10:00am-12:00pm, and an hour and a half in the evening from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.

The morning program will begin with Orthros followed by a short sermon from the Priest which will highlight the Orthodox Life topic of the day, followed by Time with God, Cabin Talk (where cabins will engage in discussions) and conclude with one activity session (like arts & crafts or faith & culture).

The evening program will begin with either Vespers or Paraklesis, followed by either a cabin devotional or an evening activity.

Stay connected for more information!

In this video, Dr. Tina Payne Bryson talks about the disappointment our kids might feel as their camp and other summer activities are being cancelled due to the pandemic. There may be highs and lows, and bumps in the road as they deal with anger, sadness, and frustration. But as parents, we can prepare by anticipating that our kids might need a little more support from us, not just when we tell them but throughout the summer. Watch the full video to learn more. Dr. Bryson is the co-author (with Dan Siegel) of two New York Times Best Sellers—The Whole-Brain Child and No-Drama Discipline—each of which has been translated into dozens of languages, as well as The Yes Brain and The Power of Showing Up and the forthcoming Bottom Line for Baby. She is the Founder and Executive Director of The Center for Connection, a multidisciplinary clinical practice in Southern California. Dr. Bryson keynotes conferences and conducts workshops for parents, educators, and clinicians all over the world, and she frequently consults with schools, businesses, and other organizations.  An LCSW, Tina is a graduate of Baylor University with a Ph.D. from USC. The most important part of her bio, she says, is that she’s a mom to her three boys. You can learn more about Dr. Bryson at TinaBryson.com.
