METROPOLIS SUMMER CAMP 2025
Apply to join us for another year of our exceptional Metropolis Summer Camp ministry for youth and young adults across the Metropolis and Archdiocese. We are looking for staff of all ages, from 19 to 35 years old. We love to have college students, teachers, grad students, young professionals, and more!

Mandatory Staff Orientation Week: June 30- July 5
Session 1: July 6 - 12
Session 2: July 13 - 19
Session 3: July 20 - 26

This is for a position as a cabin counselor
PROGRAM STAFF APPLICATION
This is for a position as part of our Program Staff. Some of these position may or may not also be cabin staff. Applicants must FIRST fill out an application above for a RETURNING or NEW STAFF APPLICATION.
PROGRAM STAFF POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
1) Faith & Culture (Leads daily sessions)
2) Arts & Crafts (Leads daily sessions)
3) Lifeguard (Lifeguards at the pool and the lake)
4) Photographer (Takes daily photos and posts them to Flickr)
5) Videographer (Creates weekly camp video)
6) Campfire (Leads 3 campfires)
7) Support Staff (Behind the scenes events staff)
8) Support Staff Coordinator (Works closely with Program Director and Support Staff to ensure daily logistics run smoothly)
9) Assistant Camp Admin (Works directly with the Camp Admin)
10) Evening Activities (Plans and oversees the setup and cleanup of the evening activities)

1) Program Director (Oversees all aspects of the daily program and program staff)
2) Boy's Director (Runs daily staff meetings, oversees male cabin staff and camper issues)
3) Girl's Director (Runs daily staff meetings, oversees female cabin staff and camper issues)
4) Camp Admin Director (Oversees CampDoc registration, schedules, cabin assignments, and more)

STAFF STIPENDS:
Staff Orientation + 1 session: $200
Staff Orientation + 2 sessions: $500
Staff Orientation + 3 sessions: $800
STAFF ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS:
Staff Eligibility Requirements:
Must be 19 years of age or older by the start of camp.
Uphold and exemplify the values, teachings, and traditions of the Orthodox Faith in all aspects of personal and camp life.
Commit to creating a faith-centered environment that supports campers in deepening their Christian faith and spiritual growth.
Passionate about serving youth and creating a positive experience for them.
Dedicated to ensuring camper safety and well-being as the highest priority.
Understand the importance of being a role model with a lasting positive impact on campers.
Exhibit a strong commitment to teamwork, including following the chain of command and working collaboratively under challenging circumstances.
Meet the Youth Worker standards of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, including passing a background check every two years, completing annual youth protection training, and completing the live scan fingerprinting.

Providing 24-hour supervision for assigned campers and maintaining order in the cabin.
Participating in all worship services, activities, and staff meetings while ensuring campers' prompt attendance and engagement.
Planning and leading nightly devotional sessions for your cabin.
Upholding camp policies, including adherence to curfews and maintaining a safe environment free of alcohol.
Reporting matters of discipline, safety, or abuse to the appropriate leadership.
