Starting a JOY, HOPE or GOYA Ministry

 

JOY, HOPE, and GOYA are national youth ministry programs provided for children in Kindergarten - High School. Here are the National ministry guidelines & steps to help you get started.

1.  Download and read the HOPE Ministry Guidelines from the Archdiocese here:

2. Look at some of the websites of other communities in your area and see if they have a HOPE ministry to see what they are doing. Call the ministry leader and get some ideas.

3. Touch base with some of the Regional Youth Workers near you!

4. Contact Johanna Duterte, the Metropolis Youth Director, and let her know you are a new youth worker who is interested in starting a new HOPE ministry at your parish. Contact her at jduterte@sanfran.goarch.org


Starting a JOY Ministry


If your community has children from 3rd – 6th, hopefully you have a JOY ministry. If not and you would like to organize one, here are a few things you can do:
